TrueDex LLC (“TrueDex”, “we”) runs gettruedex.com, an app that tracks what your Pokémon cards and sealed products are worth. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your information and we don’t show ads.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our login provider), or a sign-in link sent to your email.
- Your collection: the cards and products you add, how many, what you paid, when you got them, sales you log, cash entries, binders and their values, prices you set yourself, your watchlist and your selling-cost settings.
- Your subscription: whether it’s active, the billing interval and renewal date, and a customer number from our payment provider. Your card number and billing details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Messages you send us: feedback, missing-card requests and emails, with the page you sent them from.
- Technical information: our hosting and database providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request) to run the service securely and fix problems.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your collection, values and estimates.
- To bill subscriptions and give subscribers access.
- To answer you, fix problems, keep the service secure and improve it.
- To send emails you need, such as sign-in links and account or billing notices. We don’t send marketing email without your permission.
Who helps us run TrueDex
We share information only with providers that run parts of the service for us, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Supabase — database and logins (United States).
- Vercel — hosting the website and app.
- Stripe — payments and subscription management.
- Google Workspace — our support email.
- Resend — sending sign-in and account emails.
- Sentry — error reports when something breaks (what failed and where; we turn off user details, cookies and form contents).
- Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views without cookies or tracking you across sites.
- Anthropic — reads the card in a photo you scan, so we can find it in our catalog. We don’t keep the photo.
- TinEye — matches a photo you scan against our catalog’s card pictures, so we can find the exact card. We don’t keep the photo.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how visitors use the site (pages, taps, scrolling) so we can see what’s confusing and improve it. What you type and your collection’s amounts are hidden from these recordings.
- PokemonPriceTracker — price data and card images. We ask it about cards, never about you; no personal information is sent.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (the buyer would be bound by this policy).
Cookies and storage
We use cookies to keep you signed in, and Microsoft Clarity uses cookies to tie the pages of one visit together. The app also remembers a few display choices (such as the chart range) in your browser’s storage. We don’t use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and collection while your account is open. When you delete your account, your account and collection are deleted right away; copies in our providers’ backups expire within 30 days. Billing records are kept by Stripe as the law requires, and feedback you sent stays without your name.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and change your collection at any time, and change your email or password in Settings.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time in Settings.
- You can delete your account and everything in it at any time by emailing support@gettruedex.com from your account’s email address. We’ll cancel any subscription and delete it within a few business days.
- You can ask for a copy of your data or a correction by emailing support@gettruedex.com from your account’s email address. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law; we’ll honor them.
Security
Your data is stored with access controls so each account can only reach its own collection, and connections are encrypted. No service is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Children
TrueDex is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
